KILLER tone, warmer sound, and earlier breakup for harp, compared to traditional 6L6GC tubes...and SO much better sounding than newer tubes for harmonica use!
From years of collecting and using vintage amps and parts, I always have a supply of tubes handy here, and I am now letting a small number of them go now to my customers. In vintage as well as newer amps, these great vintage tubes DO make a difference, especially for harp!
Dennis- I have my usual stupid question-would these tubes turn a guitar amp into a harp amp? Any particular amp best to convert. I was thinking about purchasing a whole set of tubes how many?) that could juice up my son’s larger fender amp. I would think I would need a full st?
There's no immediate way to turn just any amp "into a harp amp". Each amp acts differently, has a different circuit, and each amp will need different specific things to help it work better for harmonica....and this also depends on the speakers, tubes, circuit, as well as the power of the amp even the microphones used.
