Inspired by the Chicago Masters, Annie Raines continues to bring Windy City harp tone to Boston.

ANNIE RAINES - Having grown up in the Boston area, Annie picked up the harmonica while still in her teens and made her debut on stage before graduating high school. Having fallen love with the blues harp sounds of the Chicago masters such as Little Walter, Big Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson II, she started to frequent Boston area blues jams and was soon performing regularly on the local circuit.

In 1992, Annie teamed up with accomplished blues guitarist/vocalist Paul Rishell, and since then the duo has had many albums, awards, nominations, and worldwide tours, as well as much deserved acclaim. Annie plays Hohner Harmonicas, but also sings, plays mandolin and piano, and will be joined by Paul for some songs, demonstrations, history, and an in-depth look at her influences not only on the harmonica, but for her overall musical approach and style.
